Portofino harbour is beautiful. The apartment is VERY central, a minute from the harbour. Beautiful views on your doorstep.

Ignoring some specific hiccups with the check in. The main sleeping area is not really convenient as you cannot stand up right. You need to crawl in and out of bed and down steep stairs. There are no duvet covers... instead - you get wool blankets that are not cleaned after each guest, laid on top of clean sheets, which of course move at night... The apartment is very central, which is nice but that also means that there's some noise in the morning and at night (only a problem if you are a light sleeper). Car parking is extremely expensive (only one car park) and the busses are frequent but totally packed with tourists, so you may need to wait a long time. There is simply nowhere to get food other than some extremely expensive tourist trap restaurants. The nearest beach is a 20 min walk, on the main road. All in all - it's probably better to experience the Portofino harbour on a day trip and stay elsewhere...
