Serenity Barn was wonderful and exactly what I needed! Located in a country setting, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The large covered porch with rocking chairs was perfect to relax. As I opened the sliding glass door to walk in, the aroma of fresh ground Colombian coffee and sweets they had waiting for me was like a big hug welcoming me. These treats were from their restaurant a short drive away....and it was delicious!
The barn is a beautifully decorated modern farmhouse design. The kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher! The king size bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The pillows are like resting your head on a cloud as you fall asleep to total country quiet. The shower is beautiful stone with a rain shower head or a hand held one.
There are grocery stores close by and many restaurants in the town of Mooresville. The owners of "Serenity Barn" have a restaurant and bakery called, "Patisserie Cafe". The sandwiches I had were so good, fresh and healthy.
The highlight for me was "Patisserie Cafes" fresh ground Colombian coffee and the hand made cookies and desserts....oh so good because I LOVE coffee and sweets!
The owners are close by and I found them to be some of the kindest most special people. So warm and welcoming and your comfort staying there is their top priority! I so enjoyed talking with them and hearing their story.
I felt safe and loved my stay, so when I need a special place to unwind and relax I am going back to "Serenity Barn.".....
