Private Room in Tamarin

C'est très bien équipé, Zila a été au petit soin avec nous et l'hébergement est tout mignon bien situé et au calme. Nous avons passé un très bon week-end chez elle. 😊👌🏾

Prévoyez du répulsif à moustiques parce qu'on s'est fait dévorer malgré qu'on en mettait.

A nice homestay, in a quiet back street, clearly marked on Google Maps. Close to everything, but peaceful all around. The large SuperU supermarket is 8 minutes away by car, and small shops are a 5-minute walk away. The hostess is incredibly kind and helpful. Her daughter is very easy to reach by phone/whatsapp. The two dogs may bark once when you arrive, but after that you won't notice them anymore. They are well-behaved. There is a friendly quiet cat as well. The hostess has an outdoor kitchen, where she occasionally does the dishes or cooks something. It's not far from your own sliding door to the room, but it's cosy! That's what a homestay is for! Your hostess lives in the same house, so you'll see her around. The kitchen + bedroom area is fine. Lots of hangers for clothes. I read in another review that the bathroom isn't very private; well... if you're staying with someone you don't know very well, I can imagine that it might feel a bit awkward without a door or curtain, but otherwise it's fine behind the wall. The shower is lovely. The kitchen has everything you need, even thoughtful touches like salt and sugar, washing-up liquid and a tea towel. I needed an extra bowl for a moment and was able to borrow one from her own kitchen immediately. Extremely friendly ladies! The washing machine is also very welcome, and your laundry dries in a day on the covered clothesline outside, which is great! The Wi-Fi is strong, so I was able to work remotely without any problems. I would have liked to stay longer than five nights. It is located at the foot of La Tourelle du Tamarin, a nice hike!

Part of the house has been converted into this homestay. Some walls have been broken through and then closed up again. The walls aren't very thick; they look like sheet material, so sometimes (only sometimes!) you can hear noises (such as the television) from the owners room. But it didn't bother me at all. You're living together in Mauritius and want to experience some of the local life, don't you? There is no sign or indication on the outside of the gate that the homestay is there, but they have clearly marked it on Google Maps. The street isn't that long, so you'll find it.

Une belle surprise. Réserver un hébergement qui à 0 commentaire car tout récemment mis en ligne c'est pas simple. Vraiment c'était parfait ! Le studio car oui c'est un studio avec une chambre et une grande cuisine privée en plus de la salle de bain, c'est confortable, très bien agencé, décoré avec goût, le wifi est top, tout l'équipement semble très neuf et de bonne qualité. Non loin de la plage la preneuse et de restaurants. Par contre N'est pas au niveau du centre ville de Tamarin comme le gps de Booking le montre, c'est plutôt a la frontière Rivière noire et Tamarin, donc au sud de Tamarin Zila et sa fille Falzana se sont bien occupées de moi, surtout qu'il y a eu un cyclone ce qui m'a fait passer bien plus de temps dans mon hébergement qu'à l'accoutumée. Un hébergement où il est facile de rester plusieurs jours.
