Halls Eclectic Hideaway Bowral

Location was great! Walked into town and it only took 25 minutes. Had everything that we needed for a 2 night stay.

Couple of minor things to note: 1. 2 of the bedrooms are separated by a sliding door...not much privacy 2. There is a sky light right above the bed in one of the bedrooms...not great when you are trying to sleep in

It unfortunately smelt a bit stuffy and had a slight smell of cigarettes. It cleared out mostly after opening all the doors and windows. One bedroom had a skylight directly above the bed and unfortunately bugs were able to get in and drop straight onto the bedsheets. There were also some hairs on the sheets so we ended up sharing beds to avoid sleeping in that room.

Beautifully decorated, quirky and intriguing objects throughout, well equipped kitchen. Clean manchester, multiple living areas and lovely gardens,quiet street.

1. It was clearly stated in the property description that the house had 4 bedrooms. Photos also indicate this but they misleadingly photographed 1 bedroom in 2 halves. There are only 3 bedrooms. We made do, but this needs to be corrected. I would not have booked a 3 bedroom property for our group. 2. One bedroom with a double bed has a skylight directly over the pillows. It was windy and the clean pillow cases were coated in dirt and insects. Furthermore who wants insects, dirt and first light in their eyes? Easily rectified if plastered over. 3. I asked the owners for the address as we were going to a wedding and the bride needed the address for a bus. The owners said they would not reveal until the day before and told us the name of a street a few blocks away ( when we had an 89 year old with us- not helpful!) . I asked 24 hours before as the bride needed it before close of business. The poor bride was worried about our address the day before her wedding . No reply until late in the evening.
