Hotel 粋SUI Shinjuku

The location simply could not have been better at any price - the Higashi-shinjuku door A2 was literally just a few meters from the entrance so it was always extremely easy to catch a train going anywhere. Two subway lines run from that station and they cross over with every other line at least once in a few stops. I cannot overstate how convenient that is. There are tons of delicious restaurants nearby, and it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the exciting Kabukicho area. The host was very responsive, and I appreciated having a laundry machine as well as a small balcony facing the courtyard. The beds were also very comfortable and the shower pressure & temperature were great.

I think this room would benefit a lot from having one of the beds removed to be replaced with a working area like a desk, or even a small eating area. It was definitely designed with the Japanese ethos of "make home cramped so you never want to be home," but that's not this place's fault, everywhere I stayed in Japan had this issue. The other thing I would have liked is some kind of bidet functionality on the toilet, which was strange to not have in a Tokyo apartment, but those are really nit-picks. I would stay here again purely for the location and responsive host.

東新宿駅の真上にあって、交通の要衝で非常に動きやすかったです。また近くに飲食店、コンビニなど多数あり便利でした。
