Great apartment for anyone planning to go hiking in Piatra Craiului. It has self check-in and is conveniently located, with a Mega Image supermarket right across the street and a 24/7 Mega Image about 500 m away. The apartment is newly furnished and has a dishwasher (just remember to bring your own dishwasher pods). There is also street parking available right in front of the building.

Despite booking the apartment for 3 people, only 2 sets of towels were provided. After contacting the owner, I was told that the cleaning lady would bring the third set the next day, but this did not happen. I had to contact the owner again, who then remotely unlocked the equipment room so I could get the missing towel. This could have been resolved on the first day. The main bed also had only one duvet, so if you are sharing the bed but prefer to sleep under separate covers, this is not possible. As we were 3 friends, separate duvets would have been preferable. We were able to get an additional one the next day after contacting the owner. There is construction right next to the building, which blocks the view from the balcony. This did not bother us during our stay, but it could potentially be noisy on working days. The apartment also has somewhat limited glassware: there was only one wine glass and one sparkling wine glass, along with regular water glasses. Finally, the check-in information was not sent automatically. I had to message the owner around 3 PM because I did not want to arrive without the check-in details. The owner replied promptly once contacted. Overall, these were not major issues for us, but they are good to be aware of before booking.

1. The air conditioning was available only upon request, but it was switched off after some time without us realising. When I asked for the remote control, the owner sent a screenshot of the weather forecast and said it was cool enough for our stay. I was quite surprised by the response, but still requested that the air conditioning be turned on. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning drenched in sweat despite leaving the windows open. As frequent travellers, this was the first time we’ve encountered such an arrangement, and it left us quite disappointed. It would be better to factor electricity costs into the rental rate rather than restricting access, as guests generally expect to use the air conditioning comfortably. 2. The kitchen was not as well-equipped as expected. The only frying pan was old and worn, there was just one chipped fruit knife, and the utensils were a mix of assorted spoons and forks. A better-equipped kitchen would make the stay much more comfortable for guests who intend to prepare their own meals. 3. There were also no kitchen towels or paper towels provided to help keep the kitchen clean and dry. We used our own supplies and made an effort to leave the kitchen tidy, but these are basic items that guests would reasonably expect to be available.
