Location location location - this is the main benefit of the property - great area in Santa Monica with lots of walking retail, beach and more nearby. This was what made the trip worthwhile and enjoyable for my family.

I don't want to nit pick but while we did enjoy the property and stay there are minor things that could easily be addressed. The property needs a little TLC - minor things that will go a long way. 1) Several outlets through the apartment don't work. The outlet the coffee maker was plugged into was not functioning as well as several others as we tried to charge our phones. 2) The air filter needs a change - the main vent was visibly dirty. 3) The 2nd bedroom tub/shower faucets are very old and show their age in looks and function - just put some news one in so they are easier to use.

The accommodation has fairly central location, with easy access to both the pier and the beach. Overall, the property is quite average, but there are a few areas that would need improvement. Cleanliness and housekeeping could be better. There were spider webs in several places, and there were noticeable stains on the walls and the carpet. One of the mattresses was in very poor condition and was almost unusable, so it should be replaced. The host specifically asked us to contact only him if we had any questions and not to disturb the neighbors. During our stay, we asked only one question, but we did not receive any reply. During our stay, a maintenance guy came to replace the microwave. He worked in the apartment for about 30 minutes, and we had to wait the whole time, so we could not leave for our planned program. We were not given any advance notice about this.
