Symi Uptown Carmine

The view from there is just amazing. At night also its quite fresh in the terrace. The host was always very responsive, the place was as described in the listing.

To arrive there is a bit tricky (like any part of the uptown probably as the roads are tiny), best to have a motorbike or an electric bike, we had an electric bike which was quite convenient, takes about 12 min to arrive, park the bike and walk another 3 min to the place.

The apartment inside and out was beautiful, the view from the terrace was stunning, there was everything you need and more inside the house from actual bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash to books/cards and even a comb. The communication with the owner was excellent and he was fast to help us with everything. We highly recommend this place for any couple or solo traveler because of the specific placement of the house in the village, making it very peaceful in the mornings (the only thing you would hear were the church bells and the goats once in a while). It was worth every penny and if we could we would have stayed longer. Even if you haven't scheduled anything, we would advise you to read the spreadsheet inside the house for an easy way to the gialos/pedi taxi boats/buses etc.

The only thing that could be a problem is the stairs and the idea of going up to the higher part of symi, however the bus is a cheap and accessible way of going to a lot of places and the owner has even a YouTube video about how you can access the bus stop from and to the house.

Χρειαζεται να μπει επιγραφή με το όνομα του καταλύματος εξωτερικά στο κατάλυμα για να είναι εύκολη η ανεύρεση του. Επίσης τα σκαλοπάτια χρειάζεται να τροποποιηθούν γιατί έχουν μεγάλο ύψος.

Nice bed and clean room.

It was not easily accessible, the room was really small and uncomfortable. The outside area was clostophobic and no one bothered fixing the lamp. The bathroom was so small that you had to squeeze yourself to have a shower.
