Tenuta degli Ulivi - Dimora Contadina

It’s lovely, clean, practical and everything was in excellent working order—and it had very comfortable beds. Very convenient for reaching the airports of Rome, and ample parking. Friendly and responsive host.

We had a fantastic stay at Tenuta degli Ulivi, a charming olive farm just outside Battipaglia. This is more of an Airbnb-style property than a traditional hotel, which made the experience feel even more personal and authentic. The newly renovated building houses two apartments, and we stayed in the 2-bedroom unit. It was beautifully decorated—modern but still warm and inviting. The kitchen is small, but incredibly well-designed with smart use of space (including a very practical cabinet setup). It came stocked with ground coffee, a moka pot for espresso, a tea kettle, and bottled water—everything we needed. The bedrooms were simple yet cozy, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The entire apartment was spotless, which really stood out. As a welcome gift, we received local organic spaghetti and olive oil—such a thoughtful touch. The grounds are absolutely lovely. There are donkeys, farm cats, chickens, and goats, which added to the rustic charm. Several seating areas are tucked under vines with flowing white curtains, creating a relaxed, very “Italian countryside” atmosphere. Walking through the olive groves was a highlight—especially perfect for our dog to roam. We were lucky enough to catch an event during our stay with live music and dining. The food was all locally sourced and delicious, the wine was organic, and the atmosphere was incredibly warm and friendly. Finally, our host Fernando was outstanding. He was attentive, responsive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic Italian countryside experience with a personal touch.

Ganz tolles Anwesen in wunderbarer, ruhiger Lage. Das Appartement war geräumig und sehr schön eingerichtet. Alles ist blitzsauber. Die Betten waren bequem, die Bettwäsche duftete unglaublich frisch, war perfekt gebügelt (muss einfach erwähnt werden) und war so kuschelig und gemütlich. Die Küche ist klein, aber komplett durchdacht - alles da, was man braucht. Die Eselfamilie, der entzückende Hund, überall Zitronenbäume und natürlich Oliven wohin man sieht. Das Olivenöl ist köstlich - wir haben gleich einige Liter bestellt. Wir wurden vom Sohn des Hauses abgeholt und herumgeführt - er hat sich wirklich liebevoll gekümmert. Ein sehr sympathischer, lieber junger Mann. Uns hat die Location sehr gut gefallen. 100%ige Empfehlung.
