About this bed and breakfast
The Spanish Peaks offer a majestic backdrop for the quaint town of La Veta, CO, where our home is located right across from the Cucharas river. Within just a few minutes, you can walk to the town park, shop at the numerous colorful galleries, or have a bite to eat at any of the local restaurants. You’ll love our home because of its storybook setting, warm ambiance, and close proximity to the natural world. Our place is a good fit for couples, or solo adventurers seeking tranquility and comfort.
Our brand new guest house, which consists of over 1000 square feet, has 2 private queen size bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms and closet space.
The guest house was added on to our home, and is considered a separate and private space, although it does share a common wall, which is well insulated for sound. The outside shared back patio deck is the only direct link to the main house.
The "Box Elder" room has its own private entrance, whereas the "Mount Maestas" room is accessed through the main entrance into the guest house.

The house is so charming, as is La Veta! A fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Very clean when we arrived and a large backyard. A beautiful area!

This was the cleanest, well maintained and quaintly decorated home we have ever stayed at. nestled in the trees at the end of a road in town. We enjoyed the quiet, the fresh air, the space and the uniqueness of the home. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen. Any time we needed anything or had a question, the host was quick to respond. Thank you for a quiet filled week and the friendlyness of small town living.

This is an incredible place to stay. Love the decor. Very clean and great grounds surrounding the property. Deer just walk through the yard. If you are in the area you should choose this property!!!
