The property is lovely, the one thing we didn't like is they don't service the rooms, very disappointed. Ding was nothing to rave about $40 for steak and chips and steak was very grissily. Beautiful position lovely beach and view.

Beautiful setting and rooms were very clean and spacious. Food wise, would definitely recommend the steak and garlic pizza bread! Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly! Second night, was a bit of a downer in the restaurant, we were told they were fully booked at that time, but we weren't advised of a better time. But we got to sample the take aways, so no loss really. Acoustic wise, unless you close the door leading the corridor, it can be vwry noisy and echoy into your room. We got woken up by someone's flatulence and their party finding it extremely hillarious. But once that door is shut, you are in your own heaven. Great tv/channel options too. Heat pump in every room, that was highly appreciated!

Honestly, I had read some not so good feedback and did have second thoughts about making the booking. I have no idea what they were talking about. Our experience was nothing but positive. From the staff to the food, I don't have anything negative to say. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was awesome and the service was quick. The atmosphere was relaxed. Most definitely going back.

The property is in an excellent location, directly opposite the beach. It is modern and well appointed. But soundproofing leaves much to be desired - my wife was kept awake until 1.30am by the tv and loud talking in the next room. This was not helped by there being a connecting door between the apartments, which is always a problem for sound. Check there is no door to the next apartment in your room when making a booking. Also, the vegetarian option in the restaurant was half a cauliflower. I had thought restaurants had got past such poor offerings for non-meat eaters, but evidently not.

We did not feel comfortable at the Taipa Beach Resort. The restaurant was okay, the food was delicious. But the room was unclean, the trashcan was full when we arrived. The carpet and the curtains looked like a map. Lots of stains so we did not want to go out without shoes or wanted to close the curtains. And last but not least we caught a cockroach. Although the staff was very nice, we cannot recommend the resort.

Fine for a couple of days. Well-equipped, beach view room was clean but “tired”, as was the hotel in general. Staff all courteous and helpful. Let down by the restaurant, in terms of food quality (“cooked” breakfast was tepid on second day: needed longer in the microwave!), comfort and ambience. At times it felt like eating at a rugby match, thanks to extremely noisy, largely male party of 10 trying to out-shout each other.

Easy check in with professional staff member. Long walk to room but cart available. Some rooms overlook ocean, others the garden area. Patios are a plus. Rooms are well equipped for self-catering but there’s a restaurant too.

Friendly staff. Spacious one bedroom apartment with view and patio doors opening towards beach. I made good use of the kitchenette. Had a nice Chicken Caeser Salad without bacon and a nice glass of Rosé for dinner in the restaurant. I charged my electric car overnight.

Across the road from Taipa beach, spacious one bedroom unit with small kitchen area (no oven). Nice grounds with tennis court, pool and bbq area. Close to Mangonui, Cable Bay and Karikari Peninsula. Cable Bay Store is a great place to have a snack or a meal. Room recommendations - next time I would choose a pool view room rather than ocean view. These rooms are more private. Ocean view rooms look over the road which separates the resort from the beach.
