Venus Re

Good location, close to the best beaches. The old town is walking distance (cca. 20 min.). We liked the 3 separate bedrooms and two bathrooms and balconies. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

Please fix the refridgerator door, it is hanging and feels like will fall of soon. :) Everything else was all right. We we a bit scared about the previous bad reviews, but fortunately everything went just fine.

Die Unterkunft ist in einer guten Lage, ruhig und in der Nähe vom Strand. Zur Innenstadt ist es etwas weiter, vor allem zu Fuß, aber mit dem Fahrrad nur 7 Minuten, weshalb ich empfehle eines zu mieten (10-11€/Tag). Sonst war die Wohnung sehr angenehm und es war alles vorhanden (vollausgestattete Küche, Bettdecken, Handtücher, Waschmaschine, Zwei Kühlschränke, 1 Gefrierfach, Wäschestander, zwei Bäder…). Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Die Klimaanlage im 1. Stock war kaputt. Der Check-In war alles andere als freundlich und wir konnten erst um 19 Uhr in die Wohnung (Check-In war um 16 Uhr), was an sich jetzt kein größeres Problem darstellte, wenn man früh genug Bescheid gegeben hätte (nicht 10 Minuten vor Ankunft) und nicht am Telefon geschrien hätte. Zudem hatte eine Reinigungskraft leider den Schlüssel zur Wohnung mitgenommen, wir standen also noch weitere 15 Minuten vor verschlossener Türe. Dafür war der Check-Out dann erst um 12 Uhr möglich, aus Kulanz, obwohl man schon um 10 Uhr hätte auschecken müssen.

Overall, it was a spacious place with several rooms and two balconies. The beds and linen were clean. It is very close to the best beaches of Rovinj and in a quiet neighborhood.

The place was disappointing in many ways: Before arrival, the travel agency that manages the property asked us several times about our arrival, saying that they will wait for us to show the facilities. At the end, it was just a WhatsApp message with instructions. We could have avoided roaming fees for a phone call easily by knowing this in advance. Then the next issue was the cleanliness of the apartment. Directly after entering the apartment, we were first greeted by a cockroach. There were several other bugs and also leftover food from several years ago that attracted bugs. The few usable dishes were in the dishwasher but despite cleaning, they were still dirty. I think it really depends on how clean the previous guests were but the cleaning stuff can also pay more attention to the dishes, curtains and kitchen storage areas. There were two WIFI codes displayed in the living room and none of them worked. The travel agency replied quickly on WhatsApp but they were only able to come the next day to check. After looking through the TV closet, we found the correct WIFI code. The kitchen had a lot of stuff but nothing was really useful for cooking nor to serve food. There was a single fry-pan and the induction stove barely recognised any of the cookware. Also for checking out, you have to throw away your own trash. It wouldn't be a problem if they told us earlier. The booking also includes cleaning fees, so we didn't expect it.
