Great hosts, fabulous location, but more of a summer apartment

Valon and Dafina are wonderful! Vibes in the apartment are on point in one of the few parts of town that still have old stuff. Super convenient location and I loved being able to see the sahat kulla and xhamitë out the windows. The terrace would be a dream in milder weather. Living room spacious enough for my morning workouts.

Running the klima at full blast eventually got the bedroom/living room to a habitable temperature, but the radiators never came on so there was absolutely NO heat in the kitchen OR bathroom, which felt like a punishment from hell every time I had to brave those godforsaken arctic chambers. Especially since the bathroom is another specimen of the unfortunate Balkan hose-over-a-toilet-next-to-a-hole-in-the-floor phenomenon. I was nearly in tears a few times from freezing. Even using the oven didn’t make it any warmer. Kitchen didn’t have a real knife, so I’m glad I didn’t buy the kungull I wanted before discovering this mungesë.

The terrace lighting was insufficient and worked according to its mood. The muezzin´s very noisy performances every day after 10 pm and between 2 and 3 am were quite demanding.

Biz havalimanından otobüsle geldik, katedralin orada otobüsten indik. Evin konumunu açtığınızda katedalden, 15 dk yürüyerek eve ulaşabilirsiniz.

Kosova harikasın, kalp kalp kalp.

Kaldığımız evin tam merkezde oluşu herşeyi çok kolaylaştırdı ama asıl süprizi ev sahibimizin kendisi yaşattı. Genel olarak Kosova’da insanların nezaketi, samimiyeti ve dürüstlüğü hasret kaldığımız insan deneyimini yaşatırken ev sahibimiz bu durumun harika bir örneği gibiydi. Harikasın Valon!
