BamBam Bungalows Zanzibar

El trato constante del personal fue muy agradable, nos facilitaron el ponernos el desayuno para llevar un día que teníamos una excursión a las 6:00 de la mañana. Las habitaciones son grandes, limpias y cómodas, al igual que las zonas comunes. Ambiente muy familiar, tranquilo y acogedor; incluso la gerente en persona nos recibió y nos dio indicaciones de algunos lugares. Hemos visto algunos comentarios negativos respecto a los animales que había, pero a nosotras en particular, el perro en ningún momento nos molestó, es más, apenas lo vimos, y vimos dos gatos que estaban todo el día durmiendo en el mismo sitio prácticamente, no molestan. Compartimos estancia con una familia que durante los tres días que los estuvimos viendo no salieron del complejo.

No es una ubicación que esté a primera línea de playa, está más o menos unos 10 minutos andando, pero no obstante es cierto que son unas calles bastante oscuras, con piedras y encrucijadas, que es fácil perderse y de noche no apetece mucho pasar por ahí pese a que tampoco nos sentimos inseguras en ningún momento. Como punto positivo ellos son conscientes de esto y nos ofrecieron acompañarnos y venirnos a buscar cuando lo necesitáramos

Unser Aufenthalt in den Bam Bam Bungalows war einfach großartig und rundum gelungen! Die Unterkunft besticht durch ihre herrlich familiäre Atmosphäre, was vor allem an der tollen Gastgeberin und den wunderbaren Mitarbeitern liegt, die alle unfassbar freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Besonders gut hat uns die authentische Lage gefallen: Da die Bungalows etwas außerhalb liegen, bekommt man das echte, unbeschönigte Leben der Einheimischen auf Sansibar hautnah mit. Trotz des authentischen "Real Life"-Flairs außerhalb haben wir uns zu jeder Zeit absolut sicher gefühlt und man muss hier keinerlei Angst haben. Bis zum Strand läuft man circa 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Weg dorthin ist abwechslungsreich und bietet alles, was man braucht – von gemütlichen Bars und Restaurants bis hin zu Souvenirläden. Wer eine herzliche Atmosphäre und das echte Sansibar sucht, ist hier genau richtig!

I have travelled to Zanzibar many times and, for the past few years, I had refused to come back to Nungwi. Mass tourism, the growing party scene, and the constant hassle from beach sellers had made it lose much of its charm for me. This year, I decided to give Nungwi another chance, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at Bambam Bungalows. For me, it has been a true oasis in Nungwi. It’s not right on the beach, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be. It’s located in the village, in a quiet area with a real local atmosphere, and you can walk to the beach in about five minutes. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place where I felt completely safe. What I loved most is that when you step outside and walk around the neighbourhood, it reminds me of the Nungwi I discovered about 15 years ago, when I first came to Zanzibar. For me, that is something very special. The bungalows are very clean and well looked after, there’s a lovely swimming pool, the breakfast is amazing, and above all, the people who run the place are incredibly kind and welcoming. Staying here actually makes you feel like you are in Zanzibar, rather than in just another beach destination somewhere in the world. I would absolutely recommend Bambam Bungalows and, without a doubt, if I come back to Nungwi, this is where I’ll stay again.
