Villa Grotta

Villa Grotta is right on the port, so easy to get to from the ferry and to walk into the main port for restaurants and port beach. The view was great to see the boats come in and would be even better in Summer. On the terrace there is a large table and comfy seating area. The main bedroom was large and had plenty of wardrobe and draw space and the pillows for us very comfortable. The kitchen and sitting area had a comfortable sofa and table and a large fridge, along with a kettle and coffee maker. Would have been good to have Mugs (had tea pots) we did bring our own mugs as often Greece has small cups. The host also left some items in the fridge and local bread and honey for us. Both bathrooms had good showers and clean soft towels, hot water and nice toiletries. We also had beach towels. The second bedroom was smaller with twin beds, but also had plenty of wardrobe and draw space. An iron and ironing board and a hoover. We loved that we could go up to Elies at Vathi and use the pool and sunbeds. (We just needed to check availability with them) On arrival they gave us towels and some water, long with a 10% discount on drinks and food. There is a pool at Villa Grotta, but in September the sun does not get to the Villa, so it is often in the shade and pool was cold - May be different in the summer months. At the side of the property by the pool they do have a sail shade and bean bag type chair. There are 2 chairs and 2 beds by the pool (The pool beds are very hard, but there is not a lot of room around the pool for sun bathing. (Not a problem in late September) We are actually looking to come back again in June, as the location is excellent and we will know what to expect.

Not Dislikes - Just comments -Check in is not until 3pm (which they made us aware of), so if you arrive early you may not be able to get into the property early. We were met by the hosts around 12 and got in around 2.45 and they let us leave the luggage, so we could go to the beach. We did not have any services provided (but this can be requested), so if you need a clean or more towels (no washing machine) then arrange at the start of your visit. We could not find any bags for the rubbish bins, so had to go out and buy some, along with a tea cloth. There is a rubbish bin down by the ferry port to put your rubbish. If you require a safe, this needs to be requested as well.

La villa Grotta est un endroit magnifique, face a la mer avec vue sur les ferrys arrivant. Le service y est exceptionnel. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Merci encore.

Excellent stay! The villa was beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped, with excellent facilities. Its location is perfect, right next to the port, with a wonderful view. A truly lovely place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Highly recommended!

There was absolutely nothing negative to mention. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations.

Super Haus, super Pool und immer das Hafenkino an. Kamares ist noch ein echter griechischer Urlaubsort. Eine Straße am Wasser, viele Restaurants, schöne Läden, nette Menschen. Ich könnte dort wochenlang sein.
