Villa Eva Canggu by Summerhouse Bali near Cafè Del Mar, 5-minute walk to beach

Beautifully presented, with stylish decor and furnishings. A very comfortable sofa to relax on in the evenings. Overall had all the equipment and facilities we needed to have a really homely stay with lots of thoughtful additions to help make life easy. The beds were extremely comfortable and lovely cotton bedlinen. The power tripped while we were there and the house manager responded very quickly to my text request to help us reinstate the power as we could see that neighbours weren’t affected. The housekeeper did a wonderful job daily, as did the Gardner and pool guy who also come several times a week. Pool was gorgeous, although pretty deep and no way to add protection so if you have little ones you would need to watch them constantly. Ample sunbeds and beanbags for the size of accommodation and even supplied beach towels and a lovely little suntrap. Overall amazing.

Supposed to be 5 minute walk from the beach, this is not really true as it took a lot longer than that and the walk along the main road is not great with the busy traffic and incomplete pavements. The beach can be accessed down an alleyway which turns into a little path, but this bit of beach is not that nice, and basically a storm drain access. The main bit of beach with bars and cafes is much south so this might not be a suitable trek with young family expecting the beach on your doorstep. Location was probably the only negative with this otherwise beautiful property.
