Really amazing home with a great backyard (shared) and close to Seattle and Mount Rainer. Bathrooms are retrofitted for accessibility but some of the beds are hard to use for 2 people as they are against the wall so hard to get into; but wonderfully decorated, spacious, and very versatile.

The property is in a pretty nice area and has nearby access to American lake. The property has a nice mostly fenced in yard and backyard which was great for the kids. The house was well decorated and clean with newer appliances. The beds and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room for a family. All dishes/cookware/amenities were supplied and the property owner was easy to contact with any questions. Property had someone staying in unit B is basement but never had any issues or interactions. Area is quiet and had decent access to a few select restaurants. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. Would recommend!

We were there during 80+ degree temperatures and the house was hot, even opening all windows and doors possible, early mornings and in evenings. The fans in bedrooms helped. The units to "cool" the main areas really just blew hot air around in the warmest part of the day. The decor of the home was unnecessarily ornate and the appliances and features like the kitchen faucets were more irritating than helpful. Pillows on the beds were uncomforable and while decorative to the nth degree made sleeping on them difficult. The washer needs to be kept open when not in use (put a sign on it) as it begins to smell badly and cannot be used or kept open then ( because of the smell in the kitchen) without cleaning it several times with washer cleaner ( which was provided Thank You for that!) I am not a picky person but getting a real, adequate cooling unit for the main living/dining area ( portable heat pump?) might be needed for summer rentals. as area temperatures rise, and may also help heat in winter, if that is needed. The stay was difficult because of the difficult and not well functioning appliances. like the toaster oven that got super-hot when used. It was tiny and quite old. Just get a simple toaster, already. The stove and refrigerator were fine. The master bath was a pleasure to use for showers. This was not a terrible place to stay but I found it irritating and there is a need for something to help define the step up and step down between levels. We put blue painter tape on the steps edges, to help people see the step edges for safety. Nice bathroom in the master suite but I don't think anyone has used the sit down tub-shower - too cramped and confusing with several faucets and spray options. I sure was not going to try to figure that out. The dining table was beautiful but difficult to eat at because chairs were so heavy and high. I hope the owners who appeared to have tried very hard to create a beautiful, pleasant environment will not be insulted by my feedback. Hey! we weren't suffering a terrible experience there and had a place to stay for five people with a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. I am grateful for their efforts. A look through the house to perhaps simplify, check functioning (or eliminate) some "upgrades" and mark visibility of steps between levels to avoid the feeling I had of things not being easy to use, safe or comfortable, in too many parts of this house, in too many ways.
