This apartment is indeed, as advertised, "charming." It's in an old building on an alley-like street surrounded by restaurants, shops and several Metro stations on various lines. It's about a 20-minute walk to the Seine, right near Notre Dame, and about the same distance to Place des Vosges. There is some audible conversation from the small downstairs bar until about 11 p.m., but it's not obnoxious. That's just life in a city like Paris!
