Coastal nook 2 bedroom beach flat , Lido

Few steps from the beach, very good restaurants nearby. Apartment was big, two en-suite bedrooms. Living room with TV. Kitchen well equipped. Lido beach resort is short drive to Mombasa and 3 mins drive to mall with supermarket.

The location was perfect for us. The boys loved the pool and the beach was very close. There is a very convenient beach cafe we used for breakfast and a couple of evening meals. Prices were OK as well! The rooms were just what we hoped for and the living room was bright and comfortable. Kitchen was fine for rustling up an omlet - cutlery/plates etc. were adequate. Bedrooms and showers were fine. TV worked but channels were somewhat limited - Netflix was supposed to be available. The daily maid service was fine. The host was very helpful and met us with the key even though our flight was delayed an hour! Overall, the accommodation delivered exactly what we wanted.

The bedroom decor was functional and a somewhat dated - varnished wood. A squeeky bed was a minor annoyance. The bathrooms were OK but could have done with some minor tweaking to make them sparkle again.....
