The location was nice, new and clean.

We had a big adventure before arriving here because nobody ever answered to the phone number they had on booking. We were doing TMB and we did a big detour looking for other accommodation options just because nobody answered to the messages we left on booking or at the phone. They had the condition to check in by 19:00 - and we could not make it. Luckily, they called us shortly after 19:00 from another number to ask if we are still coming. And considering our location at the time they called, we managed to arrive after midnight. So - the accommodation was nice, but the communication was terrible. They never answered to the messages we left on booking or at the phone. Regarding the accommodation conditions, even if we had a separate room, the toilets are not private. They have shared toilets.

Expensive for what is selling for

It’s clean and the bed is small but comfortable

I especially booked a room that have private bathroom and shower, after a few days in the wild I wanted to have a good night sleep, however the front desk lady assigned me to a wrong room first then mentioned that booking charged more for this type of room, when I insisted she mentioned that there only 2 rooms that in the facility that has private bathroom and shower, one is already used and the other doesn’t have a door lock…. I still slept there with a wooden piece that can block the door open… still I am fairly disappointed for such arrangement.

Very good facility. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location on TMB. Rooms large and comfortable. Evening meal available in local restaurant 5 mins walk away.

Mountain hut not a hotel

It is not a hotel nor B&B. It is more like one of mountain huts along TMB. It does say that facilities include electrical kettle and microwave, but there is none in the room. the room has very minimum,two single beds. No chair,no table, and you have to make your own beds.

Highly recommend for TMB hikers going through Les Contamines

Very new, very clean, very affordable. I was doing clockwise TMB and this was my only private room of the trip and it was a godsend and extremely needed break from dorm life.

Breakfast is not included and there are not many food options nearby (on the day I was there, all open options were >15 minute walk away)

This hostel is located in a charmingly peaceful farm and can only be accessed on foot. If you drive there, you will have to park at a nearby restaurant parking lot and walk for a few more minutes. There is a playground outside the farm and a beautiful church (Notre Dame) nearby which worth a visit. The room is quite nice, and apparently newly furbished. The room has a private shower room but the toilet is shared. The best part is that you can enjoy very astonishing mountain view (and the stars of course!) from the window of your room. Btw, I really recommend the single room since it's only around €10 more expensive than the price of a bed in dormitory. Especially when you are a light sleeper :)

The breakfast is not included. Since this place is a bit far away from Les Contamines Center (2~3km) and there are no stores nearby, hikers usually don't have other choice but to have breakfast here (I think it's €8?). The breakfast is simple, and one can only have one croissant.
