CHATEAU LACOUR

Un appartement spacieux, bien équipé et décoré avec goût dans une très belle bâtisse. Un parc arboré très agréable pour profiter de l'ombre et de la fraîcheur des arbres. Un bourg avec toutes les commodités nécessaires, point de départ de très belles randonnées et proches de nombreux sites touristiques.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Un ou deux bancs dans le parc et ce sera parfait !

Das Schlösschen ist traumhaft, das Apartment riesig. Auf dem großen Südbalkon mit Blick in den Schlosspark haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Parken war super-easy. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich etwas Besonderes.

Möblierung etwas karg und nicht zum sonstigen Ambiente passend. Keine Stühle und kein Tisch auf dem Balkon. Das lässt sich leicht ändern. Wir würden trotzdem wieder dort buchen.

An ancient château in a charming Alsace village. The building has certainly seen more glorious days, but it retains plenty of charm and character — exactly what we were looking for, and we were not disappointed. The rooms were also more comfortable than the photos on Booking suggested, which was a pleasant surprise. Special mention to the beds, which were very comfortable.

Communication with the owner could have been smoother. We had to agree on a check-in time, as the default window allowed only two hours, but the responses through the platform were slow. After our stay, we had still not received the invoice we requested. These are areas for improvement. Some practical aspects of the stay also need attention. The shower in our apartment had serious drainage problems, which should be fixed promptly. In addition, Europe was experiencing an intense heatwave during our visit — not the fault of the property, of course — but as houses in the region are generally better prepared for cold than for heat, some form of artificial ventilation would have been welcome. Even something simple like mosquito nets on the windows could make a big difference, allowing guests to cool the rooms at night without concern. We were told there would be no mosquitos, but in fact we encountered a few, and more concerning, several Asian hornets managed to get inside, which understandably made the children reluctant to keep the windows open. Finally, upon departure we were asked to remove the bed linen and leave it on the floor, as well as to empty the rubbish bins. Although we complied, these are unusual requests — especially in accommodation at the price level we paid — and not what we are accustomed to finding. With a bit of attention to these details, this château could be a truly wonderful place to stay, as the property itself has undeniable charm and character.
