All you could wish for: wonderful house in a charming Normandy beach town
The reality was even better than the description and photographs: a nineteenth century house has been beautifully and intelligently renovated for modern living and 10 of us, between 5 and 77, had a wonderful twelve days in it. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the showers superb (how many Americans say that about French plumbing?!), the kitchen excellent with everything we could need, inside and outside tables with space and chairs for us all, and a large garden too. There is a bakery within a five minute walk, offering fresh baguettes from 7 am. The Proxi, less than five minutes’ walk, is a well stocked mini supermarket. Carolles’ own market starts outside the Proxi. At the end of rue des Fontenelles the cliff walk takes you down to the superb beach, and the football field gave us the opportunity for a game with cousins living nearby. We had superb weather, but if it had rained there was plenty to do in the house, games to play, splendid TVs and electronic games. Nicolas and Geraldine were outstandingly helpful and friendly hosts, too.
Nothing: the house really was all that we had hoped for and more. The little street is reasonably quiet but narrow and with many walkers so it was occasionally slow to get our cars out and turned around.

L'idéal pour un weekend familial
Villa superbe belles chambres toutes avec salle de bain et toilettes privatives. L'équipement est parfait la propreté impeccable. Tout est pensé pour un confort maximal. Le gîte est situé non loin de chemins pour se balader aux bords des falaises surplombant la mer. Les commerces sont tous proches. Mais voiture obligatoire pour le supermarché.
Rien tout est parfait.
