Florence House

Fantastyczne, urokliwe, kalabryjskie miasteczko. W miasteczku jest pizzeria, bar i sklep, a nad morzem market. Do morza 15 minut samochodem. Plaża piaszczysta, ale dno pod wodą kamieniste i od razu głęboko. Kontakt z gospodarzami serdeczny i sprawny. Apartament składa się z dwóch pięter (pierwszego i drugiego, parter jest niedostępny). Na pierwszym piętrze jest kuchnia, łazienka i jeden dwuosobowy pokój, a na drugim piętrze dwa dwuosobowe pokoje i wejście na taras, który mieści się na tyłach domu. Każdy pokój i kuchnia mają swój balkon. W każdym pokoju i kuchni jest klimatyzacja. Pokój na piętrze pierwszym jest utrzymany w starodawnym stylu i meble są mało funkcjonalne, natomiast pokoje na pierwszym piętrze są urządzone nowocześnie i wygodnie. Kuchnia jako tako funkcjonalna. Spędziliśmy tu we czworo 12 dni i wspominamy ten pobyt bardzo miło, choć apartament ma swoje deficyty.

Kilka razy dziennie wybijało korki (trzeba zejść na parter i włączyć). Przy włączonych kilku klimatyzatorach i czajniku obciążenie sieci było zbyt duże. Czajnik mieliśmy swój, w apartamencie jest tylko kawiarka . Dwukrotnie zatkał się odpływ pod prysznicem (gospodarz przyjeżdżał i sprawnie naprawiał). Zmywarka jest na tyle zużyta, że nie domywa naczyń. Użyliśmy jej raz i zrezygnowaliśmy. Brakuje wygodnych krzeseł na tarasie i wygodnego miejsca do spędzania wspólnie czasu. Łazienka słabiutka i ciasna. Niezależnie od tego apartament Florence House jest godny polecenia, bo plusy zdecydowanie przewyższają minusy.

Florence house is a nice and authentic house with a special friendly host Anna. We loved the beautiful view from the rooms over the mountains till the sea. It was a special experience to stay there. The old town and new part were both worth while.

10/10 for the following reasons I have woken up in the hilltop and certainly off- the beaten trek village of Santa Caterina dello Ionio, overlooking the Ionian Sea, in the Calabrian province of Catanzaro. As I am writing this lines I can hear the goats and sheep bells ringing and birds twittering. The sun is shining and there is a healthy and fresh breeze coming in from the opened French doors… I felt at home with the treatment by the hostess, Anna, a medical student aiming to become a surgeo. She proudly told me that this three stories house with three double and ample rooms, with a big patio at the back a garden on one side and s long balcony in front belongs to her grand-parents and during the refurbishment they have tried to to stick to the original as they could It is a shame I will stay only one night here but I am adamant that a bit of a long lie in is well in the pipeline

It was spacious with plenty of room to accommodate 6 people. It was stocked with everything you need for a vacation and more. The accommodations were comfortable and homey and it felt like I could be in my own house. There is also a huge balcony in the back that has view of the mountainside. All in all, there is a lot to like. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. They helped us get to the house, settle in and came back the next day to offer us fresh fruit and a tour of the city. One of the kindest host families I have ever met and combined with the accomodations, it made for an overall great stay.
