Mourati House

I liked very much the house itself, beautiful, clean, comfortable : the bed, the pillows, the sheets, cool and soft, the big kitchen, the couch in front of the tv. Host was nice and polite. All my family agreed this was a very good choise for us. The village is quiet and pleasant to walk in, there is a big party on wensday night in the town square, with live Greek music, people also dance together. Loved the food on all the places to eat - tried all of them :), everybody is doing a great job with tourists, the tavernas are really close, but there is no noise. You can go to a supermarket and buy whatever you need, the kitchen is well equipped. We also liked the terrace- it was very useful for drying all of our swim suits and beach towels.

What we didn’t appreciate so much is something that the host - or anybody for that matter- can help with. It was some noisy neighbors that talked at night until very late, so we had to close the windows . The consequence was the need for AC (which really wasn’t necessary at night because of the cool outside air ) We were on the ground floor, and we were lucky that the upstairs neighbors were civilized, no loud music or anything of the sort. Also the parking might be tricky with a big car, but that is what you can expect is a tiny Greek village. The beautiful sea makes you forget about any worries:)

Am locuit la apartamentul de la parter, foarte bine utilat, așternuturile și prosoapele s-au schimbat la interval de doua zile, în bucătărie am găsit tot ce trebuie pentru a lua micul dejun. Mașina de spălat rufe este un plus din punctul meu de vedere. Apartamentul are, de asemenea, fier de călcat și masă pentru călcat rufe. Locuința este amplasată într-un sat tradițional, pitoresc, liniștit, dar care face ca intrarea pe străduța spre apartament și parcarea în fața vilei să fie ușor dificilă pentru o mașină ceva mai mare (Rav4). Dar asta nu e un motiv să nu locuiești aici, în 8 zile nu am zgâriat mașina sau altceva. Distanța până la plajă este de cam 5 km pe șoseaua principală, cam 7-8 minute de mers cu mașina.

Fabulous downstairs apartment in a lovely picturesque village. Very modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. There’s a full kitchen. Great WiFi. A short drive to a beautiful beach. There are several restaurants in the nearby village center. Having a washing machine was a bonus.

A little olive oil would be nice in the kitchen. Finding the house was a bit of a challenge. Don’t turn left when Google maps says so. Instead continue to the third street on the left and turn when you see the sign for Polixena House turn left again at the stone wall.
