Description
Respecting Seville’s traditional architecture, the building stands out from the rest thanks to its vibrant colors, typical of Calle Betis.
Ground Floor.
We enter CasaKary through a large wooden doorway, and in the entryway we immediately notice the elegance of its decor. To our left is a bright, open living room with excellent views of the Guadalquivir River, dominated by a huge curved sofa facing a 77-inch Sony TV. Behind the sofa is a large mural evoking the ancient gateways to the city of Seville. In the back, a chill-out area opens onto the counter of the modern and comfortable kitchen—the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of Manzanilla or wine while relaxing. Further back, a small guest restroom leads to the beautiful outdoor dining area with river views and a “fair-like” atmosphere.
Its decor— paintings, lamp, table—is inspired by the joy of Sevillian festivals. -
First floor.
Up the Andalusian-style iron staircase, we ascend to the first floor. On the landing, there’s a glass door leading to the light-filled courtyard, complete with plants, armchairs, and a small table—perfect for relaxing while smoking or enjoying a drink. That same landing separates the entrance to the suites named after the illustrious Sevillian poets “Machado” and “Linares, ” both featuring tasteful décor, built-in closets, a 55-inch Sony TV, and spacious balconies overlooking the Guadalquivir River and the city. Each bathroom features chromotherapy, a hair dryer, toiletries, and a shower for two people.
Second floor.
We climb the stairs, and upon reaching the landing, we find the suites named after the equally illustrious poets “Becquer” and “Cernuda, ” identical to those on the floor below. The glass door on the landing leads to the stairs that go up to the building’s terrace.
Terrace.
It’s the crown jewel. Upon entering, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass railing, we’re treated to majestic views of the river and the entire city of Seville. From here, we can see the famous Triana Bridge, “Puente de Isabel II” (19th century)—the oldest iron bridge in Spain—the “La Maestranza” bullring (18th century), considered one of the finest bullrings for its architecture and tradition, the Seville Cathedral, “Santa María de la Sede y de la Asunción” (15th century), considered the largest Gothic cathedral in the world; and finally, the monumental “Torre del Oro” (13th century).
A small, traditionally Andalusianheated pool allows us to swim year-round, enjoying magnificent views of the river and the city from inside the pool. A small bar and the beautiful hammocks and sofas provide the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment with friends or family. There is also a restroom on the terrace itself.
