Family cottage on Deer Pond within 30 min to Southern ME beaches and activities!

What a beautiful spot. Wanted a relaxing weekend with just the 3 kids. Such a cute homely cabin, with young kids and a dog it was perfect. Away from the roads so not too concerned. Great fire pit, loved time in the porch. Pity it’s not available year round but will be back next year.

We had an absolutely lovely time at this classic Maine lakefront cottage. It was clean and cozy and very much like the photos. The swimming at Deer Pond is excellent, with warm clean water and very little boat traffic on the pond. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our meals, and plenty of space to relax inside on the days it rained. The neighborhood was quiet and calm, and we were able to have our dog off leash without worry and take walks down the little road. The deck and docks face east, and we did our best to take in the sunrise daily. We hardly saw any bugs. We did take advantage of a few local attractions, such as Big Daddy's North for ice cream and Xota Brewing, but mostly we didn't want to leave this cozy lakeside cottage for any reason at all. Our hosts were communicative and kind, and it would be my honor to return year after year to this perfect little house.

My family and I stayaed at this cottage 7/31/24 - 8/5/24. It was everything we wanted and more. The view was breathtaking. The cottage had everything we needed. Full kitchen, spacious living room, good size bedrooms, porch with a washer and dryer. Perfect as a home away from home. To our surprise there were kayaks, a boat and fishing poles available to us to enjoy the pond. Add all this to the perfect location for our stay. Close to friends in Gorham and Standish while still being a short drive to Old Orchard beach. It was perfect. Nora was an outstanding host. Great communication and very accommodating. Everything stated in the VRBO description is spot on and then some. I just can’t say enough good things about our trip. We will definitely be repeat customers.
