The Cove, Three Cliffs Bay

Nie doczytałam że nie ma suszarki do włosów i przydała by się moskitiera bo nie można było otworzyć okna w sypialni bo trzmielę się odbijały od okna

The host Julia was friendly and helpful. On booking she asked if we had any dietary requirements for the welcome pack and I mentioned we use dairy alternative (oat/lactose free) milk and I am gluten intolerant. The oat milk provided was also gluten free, which is more difficult to obtain. There were some delicious gluten free biscuits and a selection of coffee and tea bags. My wife used the decaf coffee / tea and I demolished the regular coffee bags which were very good. The location is excellent for couples, peaceful and tranquil with many great walks and scenery all around. Pennard castle ruins is 10 minutes walk away, via the golf course. You can then walk down to Three Cliffs Bay from there. In the area the choice for gluten free dining is excellent and we had lunch at the Three Cliffs Coffee shop in Southgate a couple of times (more great coffee!), the Pennard Golf Club and Pobbles Pizza in Southgate which had an excellent choice.

As advised the final road on Sandy Lane to the property is very bumpy and a high clearance vehicle is recommended, although several smaller cars and delivery vans frequently use the road - I would definitely not use a low-profile sports car. The road would not deter me from recommending the location or from visiting again.

Just a walk down the hill via the golf course to Three Cliffs Bay which is wonderful. The annexe is a great little place to stay for a couple, and includes a kitchenette w. fridge, microwave, air fryer etc. House is clad in burnt black larch and solar panels. It sits in a very interesting 'Plotlands' kind of commune where people started living when Swansea was being bombed during the Blitz in the 1930s (which the host kindly told us about). As a result the track you drive along to get there is very upaved and bumpy, but worth it. Lovely place to stay on the Gower for a quite weekend.

The unmade up road to the property is very rough in parts and you need a robust car. I was given good directions by the owner but still managed to go wrong! Would be very difficult to locate in the dark as no street lights.
