This is a fairly typical set-up for Greece - a studio room with a tiny but functional kitchen at the left of the entrance, a tiny but functional bathroom on the right of the entrance, a twin bed set that is nothing spectacular but nice, plenty of room and closet space, and a balcony which faces the street over which is the sea. It all works fine and you really can use the room as a living space for a couple of weeks. The location at the end of the road makes it a more quiet than if the hotel was about 100 meters to the left towards the village center, and the sea on the other side of the road (maybe 20 meters and then down some steps) is surprisingly clear (seriously, I was not expecting the water to be that nice). If you want a beach with chairs etc you have to go about 200m to the left, but get there early or they're all gone. If you have your own chairs and umbrella (preferably one of the self-anchoring ones) the beach in front of the hotel is perfect. Though the parking is free, "free" parking really isn't an issue since the street is by and large empty. An interesting and unexpected bonus were the free hot springs - and yes, hot as in a hot bath at like 40-45C - which you can enjoy a little more just outside of the low wall as it pours into the cool sea. Seriously, people regularly use it. This is a very typical Greek seaside village.

Small things: the front door which was surprisingly stiff and narrow and difficult to get through. Further, it is a "half lite" door (bottom is aluminum, mid section is opaque glass). Somewhere in the rear of the building there is a motion sensor flood light - whatever creature was walking around kept setting it off which would flood into our room. Also, imagine the scare if someone were standing in front of your door at night...just staring into a window. The bathroom is frankly poorly designed - a full wet room, which itself is fine, but there is nowhere to hang the shower head. The toilet faces a protruding washbasin and the resulting space is so narrow that for larger people you're sitting with your shoulder pressed against the washbasin ledge. Electrical outlets were, at least in our room, on the far right of the bed and someone made an interesting choice of putting one at slightly above head level in between two pressed together twin beds. The beds were super hard, and while some like them so, they're not for me. Last, about the beach - a more substantial problem lies with (apparently) jelly fish. We were told the reason this particular and seemingly lovely stretch of unused beach was empty is regular jelly fish. Ok, sure, we encountered a single small little dangly one (I mean, was it a jelly fish or just a see through mushroom?) which didn't feel so small to the gentleman who got stung by it the following morning.
