Cozy and family-like 🤍

We were doing the TMB with my friend. The hotel was absolutely amazing — they had everything we could possibly need: a separate heated garage with a coded entrance, a boot dryer, hangers for clothes and hiking poles, and Crocs in all sizes. We were delighted by how kind and caring the hotel owners (a lovely family couple) were — they told us where to eat and even gave us a ride to the restaurant. The room itself was cozy, with adjustable heating, and everything was thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest detail. We managed to dry all our clothes after getting caught in heavy rain, had a great night’s sleep, enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and continued our TMB full of energy. The town itself was also very pleasant — we had a meal there that was better than in many Michelin-starred places. God bless French cuisine!

Incredible inn with welcoming hosts

The hosts, Alex and Carol, could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. Their inn was clean, inviting, and well decorated. We loved all the special touches throughout the property. We enjoyed beers on the deck our first night, their dinner recommendation, and the inn’s wonderful breakfast. I would love to return.

Excellent, started our trip off to a great start.

The hosts were extremely helpful with check in, sharing local recommendations, hiking advice and breakfast was delicious. There were many thoughtful considerations throughout the stay.

Lovely hosts, amazing breakfast! Great for people doing the TMB but also a lovely place in general. Great facilities to store hiking shoes/ bags etc. Only a few minutes off the trail and only a 10 minute walk back into town.

great place, but far from village center

a great place to spend the night during TMB it is located at the far end of the la contamines vilage. it takes like 10 minutes of walk to the main street with al the shops and restaurants the place is new. extremely clean & extremely comfortable. nice room, great shower & comfortable beds breakfast is OK. no eggs nor vegetables. no coffee machine.. but it is ok for some energy before a long walking day . there's a bus station for the free shuttle to gorge (start of next day) just one minute from the place

the owner does not let u enter your bugs to the place. u have to unpack and carry baskets with your stuff to the room. i understand the issue of keeping the place clean and avoiding TMB dirt and bugs. but i dont think that it is my problem. i didnt see that strange behavior in any other place we slept, during our TMB trek i really didnt like it!!

Don't hesitate, this place is fantastic

This was one of the nicest places we stayed on our whole trip. The room was immaculate, the bar and nibbles were great, and the proprietors were unbelievably warm and helpful. This place was an oasis after 10 miles on trail!

The gear garage wasn't the most convenient, but I get why they do it.

clean, warm, friendly hosts

Alex and his wife were warm and amazing hosts! We had a comfortable stay in this chalet that was remodeled 2 years ago (and still felt new)! The room was small but clean and comfortable. I slept well in the comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the lovely seating area on the front where we guzzled cold drinks after a hot day of hiking. *Of note, the hot tub and sauna are only available during aki season though we would have been happy to use it for our sore muscles after a hard first day hiking TMB.

Exceptionally great stay

Omg I have no words to explain owners were extremely nice, extremely hospitable. We came for our tmb and we got late on hike, owner came looking for us in town and picked us up in pouring rain. They helped us check in, made our reservation to restaurant and also dropped us there. Exceptionally amazing owners. Now about facility , extremely clean, such comfy beds, I even asked where they buy their bedding, very nice, soft and comfortable. Bathroom very good size, very spacious, amd very clean towels. View to mountains .. Owner even made us breakfast for us early as we had to leave at 630am and dropped us to tmb starting point. Very very hospitable. I wish I have more words to explain how excellent our stay was. I wish to come back and stay more in this very cozy and clean place.

Passing through during our TMB

Absolutely beautiful place to stay - arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Alex and Carole. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet with stunning views in a beautiful location. Woke up to the smell of freshly baked croissants and Alex welcoming us to breakfast and making scrambled eggs for our big hiking day. The breakfast was the best we had on our TMB. We couldn’t have been happier and it truly is a wonderful place to stay. Would love to return one day.

Excellent place

We had an excellent stay! There were three of us, and while the room wasn’t very big, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The ski room is spacious, which was a big plus. The sauna is available and absolutely lovely—perfect after a day on the slopes! The location is unbeatable, just 30 meters from the slope. The hosts were very friendly and flexible—we arrived late at night, and accessing the property at any time was no problem. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

אין מעלית וקשה לקחת את הציוד לחדר. המקלחת לא נוחה, שפורפרת המים נמוכה וכדי לחפוף צריך להחזיק אותה ביד, וקצת קשה לחפוף רק עם יד אחת שפנויה. המלון לא מספק מגבות לפנים, רק מגבת גוף גדולה.

Un endroit propre et comfortable pour dormir en paix.

Carole et Alexandre sont des hôtes très sympathique, professionnel et avenant. Ils nous ont accueilli comme un membre de famille. L’endroit est très propre et confortable. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. N’hésitez pas à réserver pour vos prochaines vacances.

La seule amélioration que j’aimerais proposer est d’avoir une machine à café disponible pour des Espresso et cappuccino.

Magnifique endroit

Superbe hébergement. Parfaitement situé pour le Tour du Mont Blanc. Nous avons terminé notre randonnée au village où nous avons acheté quelques items pour souper pour ensuite nous rendre, à pieds à Chalet Nant Rouge. Nous avons pu souper avec notre nourriture et notre vin sur le beau patio de l'hotel. Les hôtes nous ont fournit ustensils, assiettes, verres etc. Les hôtes étaient vraiment chaleureux et sympathiques. Ils étaient habitués aux randonneurs. Tout était bien pensé. D'une propreté exceptionnelle. Chambre confortable. Wifi puissant. Déjeuner complet et délicieux

Tout est fait pour passer un agréable séjour.

Une vraie belle semaine. Chalet au calme entièrement rénové avec tout l'équipement nécessaire et des lits de très bonne qualité. Situé à proximité des pistes, on peut rentrer déjeuner le midi. Alex et Carole sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes, et leurs conseils sont précieux. Le petit plus : un bain nordique extérieur pour se relaxer après une journée de ski. Nous recommandons vivement.
