Guajiru kite-safari Tendas

Beautiful location right by the lagoon. The Safari is located at the far end of the lagoon so there aren’t many people kitesurfing there which is great since you are basically alone. The tents are really nice and the rustic and simple decor makes you feel that you are actually camping in the wilderness. The owners are nice and attentive. Breakfast was great also.

Unfortunately the tents are extremely hot, even with a fan. They should try to find a solution for the wind to actually blow through the tent. Another suggestion is to install a bed headboard so the pillow doesn’t fall to the floor at night. There is no fridge or minibar in the tents. I think they could at least offer a cooler with ice to compensate but we had to buy this ourselves. The general maintenance could be better. The wooden deck underneath the shower was loose and some of the wood planks had been turned around so the nails were facing upwards creating a big potential for a serious accident. The wooden deck by the kite shop was as also falling apart with big gaps in between the planks making it easy to break an ankle. There was also a lot of construction materials everywhere and I think it could have been tidied up before receiving guests.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Guajiru Kitesafari! From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcomed. The tents are super comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom makes the experience feel extra special. The location is stunning — right on the lagoon, perfect for heading straight out on the water, and close to Guajiru town, yet far enough away to enjoy complete peace and quiet. The breakfast and dinner are delicious, prepared with great attention and love. Many evenings, everyone gathers around the long table to eat together — such a warm and cozy atmosphere, it truly feels like being among friends. Erwin and Barbara are wonderful people who make you feel right at home and go above and beyond to help with anything you might need. In short: a huge recommendation. We will definitely be coming back! 💛🌴🪁

Everything was incredible. Elvis and Barbara were incredible hosts. The camp is away from town, so you're much more immersed in nature, feeling far away from the world, but close enough to go to restaurants, which isn't needed because Barbara cooks an incredible family style dinner every night. This fosters getting to know the other guests and both Barbara and Elvis. They helped us go on downwinders, told us about the secret spot, and really made our trip to Gaujiru very special. We wouldn't have had the same incredible experience if we just stayed in a typical pousada. Thanks for everything!
