Sous l olivier

Un super endroit et une hôte très sympathique et accueillante

We had a marvellous time Sous l'Olivier. The gite is located in a very peaceful but fascinating part of the ancient town, we found lots of interesting things to see, places to eat, little shops etc within walking distance. And in many of the surrounding villages there is a Romanesque chuch - some of them are architectural jewels. The house itself was a delight to stay in. Every detail had been considered, and we adored the style with which it had been renovated and decorated. The french windows of the house gave out onto a shaded veranda , overlooking a charming courtyard garden, with a gorgeous and varied planting scheme, providing a cool, calm oasis on hot days. It was a perfect place to relax and absorb the atmosphere of this charming corner of the north Charente. We recommend swimming in the lakes nearby - we went to Les Gours - and had the place to ourselves. Our week passed by too quickly.

We were very sad to leave!

Elisabeth est une personne exceptionnelle. Le gîte est charmant, le lit en 160 très confortable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, grâce aussi aux conseils, plans et visite guidée de notre hôtesse. Merci encore. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Un détail à parfaire: les rideaux des deux petites fenêtres en " oeil de bœuf" laissent passer beaucoup de lumière, ce qui peut être gênant le matin pour les personnes sensibles comme moi...

Une maison entière à votre disposition, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Propreté impeccable. Stationnement sur propriété privée, à l'abri. La chambre est immense, avec un coin salon séparé et un bureau si vous souhaitez travailler pendant votre séjour. Le lit est d'un confort exceptionnel! Babette est une femme charmante et accueillante, et j'ai beaucoup apprécié la compagnie de ses chats. C'est merveilleux de se détendre sous la canopée en ayant vue sur le jardin et tous les oiseaux dans l'olivier.
