Comfy inexpensive hotel

The new hotel (apparently built in 2024) is located outside of Losone across the bridge to Locarno in a business area. Locarno is easily accessible by a bus that runs every 10-15 min. Our spotless room faced the main road but was relatively quiet. The shower in the bathroom was really spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke either English or German (in addition to Italian, of course). Upon check-in we received a Ticino ticket which allows the free use of public transport in the whole of Ticino/Tessin plus discounts at some other institutions. Breakfast was amazing (scrambled egg, bacon, various other cold and warm dishes, waffles, muesli). The hotel also has a restaurant, and a Migros is located directly opposite the entrance. Further restaurants are within walking distance (15 min). From what I could see, this was one of the least expensive hotels during our travel time, and I would certainly book again.

Parking was quite expensive (around 20 SFr per night?) but this seems to be the rule rather than the exception in this area. Bed was "only" 160 cm wide. Bathroom could have offered more options to hang up towels.

Il y avait de tout pour le petit déjeuner, mais malheureusement peu de produits locaux, pas de confitures maison…j’ai eu l’impression que tout sortait du supermarché. Mais je devrais pas me plaindre car j’ai payé ma nuit moins de 100.- mais pour ceux qui paye davantage petit déjeuner peut être mieux Manque un miroir grossissant dans la salle de bains

Sehr gerne wieder!

Das Frühstücksbuffet war wunderbar und hatte von allem reichlich. Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um für in alle Richtungen etwas zu unternehmen. Zu Fuss hatten wir ca. 20. Min nach Ascona. Wir hatten den Hund dabei und im Zimmer stand schon ein Bettchen und zwei Näpfe bereit. Es war alles sehr herzlich und ich werde wieder kommen.

Gute Lage, relativ modern, aber laut und überfüllt, Guter Parkplatz. Schön für einen Kurzen Aufenthalt.

Der Service war nicht gut. Weder beim frühstücken noch sonst. Frühstück sehr überschaubar und immer gleich. Aber für einen Kurztrip ok. Der Betrag wurde zweimal über die Kreditkarte belastet, einmal die Reservierungsgebühr und dann noch der tatsächliche Preis, nach zwei Tagen und Reklamation wurde die Reservierung wieder freigegeben. Ärgerlich.

Das Frühstückbuffet war gut, Auswahl ok. Duschkabine und Badezimmer haben eine angenehme Grösse. Es ist ziemlich ruhig im Hotel. Alles war sauber.

Die Matzratze in unserem sogenannte Queensize Bett, würde mal sagen die Grösse ist einfach normales Doppelbett, war irgendwie schon halb durchgelegen oder wie auch immer, man hat die ganze Zeit das Gefühl man rolle vom Bett herunter. Leider lässt sich kein Fenster im Zimmer richtig öffnen zum Lüften und die Luft aus der Klimaanlage riecht ziemlich schlecht.

Alles sehr gut, wir waren sehr zufrieden

Das Frühstück war gut und es hatte genug von allem.

Online stand das Zimmer sei ab 15 Uhr bezugsbereit. Ebenfalls wurde nach der Ankunftszeit gefragt. wir haben als Ankunftszeit zwischen 15-16 Uhr angegeben. Angekommen sind wir erst um 16.30 und ups, das Zimmer war nicht bezugsbereit. Die Dame an der Rezeption bot uns an, einen Kaffee auf der Terrasse zu trinken. Das Angebot nahmen wir an, bestellen aber zwei Aperol. Als das Zimmer fertig war, informierte sie uns sehr freundlich. Wir gingen in der Annahme, es werde die Differenz zwischen Kaffee und Aperol aufs Zimmer belastet. Da wurde uns gesagt, die Getränke seien nicht inbegriffen. Finde ich eigentlich schade, wir wurden ja extra gefragt wann wir ankommen, da sollte das Zimmer ja bereit sein.
