There are also numerous attractions in the surrounding area, including the famous Pont d'Arc cave, Mont Gerbier des Joncs, the source of the Loire, the Ray-Pic waterfall and the imposing Crussol castle with its majestic view over the Rhone Valley. The turquoise-blue lake of Issarlès in a former volcanic crater and Ardelaine, a centre for wool art, are further highlights. The surrounding picturesque villages such as La Begude de Mazenc and Poet Laval with their charming farmers' markets also invite you to linger.
