Urban by the Sea

Fijn appartement en gezellig ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Goed contact met eigenaresse bij wie je altijd terecht kunt voor tips. Uitstekend bed. Airco in woon- en slaapkamer zeer prettig. Locatie uitstekend. Op loopafstand (5 min.) van leuk strand met bedjes, parasols en taverne. Dichtbij levendige haven en centrum met veel horeca. Kleine supermarkt op minder dan 100 meter, grote hypermarkt in haven / centrum. Kleine 15 min. lopen van metrohalte Dimotico Theatro. Met de metro ben je in 20 minuten voor € 1,20 in Athene en voor € 9 op de luchthaven. Wij zijn met z'n tweeën 10 dagen gebleven, hebben strand en Athene gecombineerd en kunnen dit appartement van harte aanbevelen.

Goed ter been zijn is belangrijk. De staten van Piraeus in het algemeen en de straat van het appartement in het bijzonder zijn steil, het wegdek en de trottoirs niet in beste staat (vooral glad). Douchen is lastig voor lange mensen (die kunnen niet rechtop staan in het bad waarin gedoucht moet worden). Uitzicht op de tuin is er niet en de balkonnetjes zijn niet groot genoeg om op te kunnen zitten.

We loved the location. The bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We were welcomed by ‘Freedom’ who was very good at showing us around and answering all our questions about how to get around on buses and metro. We ate at the restaurant she worked and she made our first night special.

The apartment was clean, spacious and in a good location albiet quite hilly. You can walk to the beach and to the marina for restaurants.

The address is a little confusing as there is a staircase in the middle of the street which is a oneway street. The taxi dropped me at the top of the stairs (according to GPS) and Ihad to lug my suitcase down a flight of stairs. - hint add the address for taxi to the booking notes which will make things a lot easier for people arriveing by car.

Kleine private Wohnung mit allem Notwendigen einschließlich schnellem Internet. Liegt nahe zur Marina und reichlich Möglichkeiten sich selbst zu versorgen. Parkplätze in der Umgebung.
