Sunny Stay Kilada

Sunny Stay is located a little over an hour from Nafplio in a very beautiful setting overlooking the sea. It must have been an olive grove long ago since centuries old trees are surrounding the resort. We had booked a room facing the pool and were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment located above. That was a nice surprise! If you are looking for a place to stay away from quite a bit more touristy Nafplio this is a great location, but of course you need access to a vehicle.

The resort is in need of some TLC and is in fact undergoing renovations. Some repairs are needed here and there, but it did not affect our enjoyment of the place. We stayed in October and did not see many people. We did not have any interactions with the staff, but the apartment was perfectly clean when we arrived. One small advice to the owner: it would be great to install a bell or maybe an intercom in front of the entrance gate, because when we arrived we thought that the place looked abandoned and could not reach anyone. We tried the 3 phone numbers listed. Two are no longer active and one went straight to message. We did not know how to enter the resort. We were actually about to call Booking to ask what to do when someone finally noticed us. An intercom would resolve that problem. Thank you!
