No geyser , heater coil given instead

The warmest welcome greeted me from the staff, even though it was later than expected. I kept them updated with my delays and they always responded kindly. The room was amazing , very well kept , comfortable bed and pillow, clean sheets and a lovely warm duvet . The next morning I awoke to a panoramic view of nature . The food is sooo good and very reasonable prices I hadn't found anywhere else. I was helped with my ongoing journey to Darjeeling and the young man in the restraunt even stood with me to wait for auto cab share . I was so comfortable I was tempted to stay but I want d to see Darjeeling but I re booked for on my way back to the airport. It is about 40 mins from the airport but for me it was perfect harmony away from the city , a nice adjustment to my ongoing journey. You can even catch a photo of the toy train as it passes by . I highly recommend Roots and I will definitely be staying there again .

Located ideally beside the tea gardens and very close to the hills. Also has a great market and eateries at a 5 minute walking distance.

Location. Cleanliness. Restaurant attached.

No hot water. They use an immersion rod to heat water when you ask them. The food was tasty but some of them were half cooked, very late for room service, and staffs weren't helpful. They gave me a lower priced room, with no sunlight and extremely cold instead of the room I had booked. Almost felt They are unhappy with single women guests. No tea at room. Restaurants start at 10 so you skip the breakfast if you leave early.
