Old Oak Tree Cottage Rydal

Very lovely and quaint place to stay. Fire was fantastic already to go when we arrived ( thank you Lisa), creating a really nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the local pub wasn't open for a counter meal Monday to Wednesday but available Thursdays to Sunday I believe, so had to duck back into Lithgow. Full cooking facilities within the cottage so we'll now to take supplies for dinner when we go there again in the earlier part of the week. Great spot to chill out and relax,

Lisa and Ben were incredibly thoughtful and hospitable to both our dog and us. When we arrived at the cottage, we found it to be very charming and clean. They had prepared snacks for us, including a loaf of bread, eggs, and butter. Additionally, they made sure the room was cool by turning on the air conditioning, which was much appreciated on that warm day.They also took special care of our dog by providing dog treats, sheets, and a beach towel for when our little one wanted to sit on the couch or needed to be wiped down. The cottage featured a beautiful garden and a small creek, adding to its charm. Lisa and Ben even left birdseed on the deck, and we enjoyed feeding the birds twice a day during our stay.My husband was fascinated by the stars, satellites in the night sky, and watching small bats in the evening. We had passed through Rydal a few times in the past five years and had longed for a peaceful cottage surrounded by the beauty of nature. This stay was truly a delightful experience.

Old Oak Cottage is absolutely wonderful! The cottage itself is so cute, full of charm, and beautifully presented with every detail thoughtfully considered. A perfect, cosy getaway spot.

Beautiful little cottage with all you need. Great set up in kitchen. Next we will just cook from here, so well set up. Great home away from home. Very cosy with lots of spots to stop and relax inside and outside. Host have thought of everything. Thank you Lisa and Ben for a great anniversary weekend away.
