Welcome to Shore Thing, a delightful waterfront oasis in Flour Bluff! This vibrant home boasts everything you need for an unforgettable coastal getaway, including a private boat dock and panoramic waterfront views.
Inside, the chic design and modern finishes elevate the ambiance throughout the home. You'll find plenty of room to spread out and relax, thanks to the two inviting living areas. The first living room exudes a cozy atmosphere with chic leather furnishings, while the second living room offers a bright, coastal vibe with numerous windows bringing in the expansive water views.
The large, fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze. Grab a barstool seat at the counter, perfect for a quick snack, or gather around the dining table to enjoy home-cooked meals with your group. With three spacious bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and an additional queen sleeper sofa in the second living area doubling as Bedroom 4, Shore Thing comfortably accommodates up to nine guests.
Step outside to the spacious deck, where outdoor seating and breathtaking waterfront scenery invite you to unwind in style. Sip morning coffee with the bay breeze, enjoy evening cocktails as the light shifts over the water, or fire up one of the two BBQ grills for easy cookouts after a day in the sun. Some of the best fishing in Laguna Madre can be had from the boat dock or wade fishing around the property resulting in keeper trout and redfish. The pier has an underwater green light for night fishing. You will see fishing guides and wade fishing 100-200 yards from the pier on a regular basis. Included with Shore Thing is access to the boat dock on the property, the pier has cleats to accommodate an additional 2 boats.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff.

Have stayed here several times. Love the on water location. Incredible views of the Laguna Madre. House is comfortable and clean each time. Staff is very attentive and responds to any questions you may have. Will stay again

The wildlife was amazing to watch at night and early morning. Definitely worth bringing deer corn to feed them, we went through a 50lb bag in 5 days and saw so many amazing animals. The property was very clean and all appliances worked. Plenty of beds and bedding.

This property had several issues from the instance we walked onto the property on Friday, Aug 29, 2025:Broken garage door which was an eye sore.Broken fence post and gate.Light bulbs out in master bedroom closet.Debris from gate lying in backyard.Trash at entry gate to backyard.Free standing ice maker did not that was shown in pictures of the kitchen.Light switches in master bedroom bathroom had brown stain marks running down the wall. It appears to be stained waterThe entire house flooring in the house needs to be replaced. There are numerous soft spots in the flooring throughout the house. One spot right at the front door is dangerous weak and can cave in if you NOT careful where you step as you walk in.Mildew on the outsude laundry room door which is to the right of the front entry door.Wooden walkway to enter the house and to enter the back yard from the driveway are uneven which is unsafe.The outside door to enter the second bedroom had a doggy door that has been closed off with grey masking tape which is an eye sore and NOT very secure.The house has potential, is nicely decorated and has a very nice view of Laguna Madre.The rental should be removed from VRBO until the house can be brought upto satisfactory standards that VRBO is known for. AvantStay did offer a 20% refund for the above noted issues on a 4 night stay that cost us over 2000. We were there to celebrate our 31st Wedfing Anniversary.
