About this cottage rental
Situated in the heart of the unspoiled village of Withypool, this beautifully converted chapel enjoys an elevated position offering stunning views over the River Barle Valley and comes complete with a crackling wood burner in the cosy lounge and a private patio garden, creating the perfect family retreat in the heart of Exmoor National Park.
Accessed via a few steps from the village lane, the front door opens into a large hallway with a slate-tiled floor and wood panelling. The spacious lounge provides an attractive retreat with a wood burner set in a stone fireplace, creating a comfortable space year-round. The country-style kitchen/diner is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for family and friends, and an external door leads to a utility area. A convenient cloakroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, three charming bedrooms offer lovely river and countryside views. The master king-size bedroom features dual-aspect views, and an en-suite shower room and a separate WC with basin. The second bedroom is also a king-size, and the third is a twin bedroom. Completing this floor is a stylish family bathroom.
Outside is a small, fully enclosed patio is a delightful outdoor space, complete with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or al fresco dining. Private parking for one car within 100 metres signed ‘The Old Chapel Parking Only’ with access to an EV charging point that utilizes credit card payment via a Smartphone app.
