Neat, compact, clean
A bit of a trek to get to, for a life experienced person.
The bed and pillow were a bit soft for my liking, but that's just down to me.

The staff were very nice and helpful.
They resolved a booking problem on the spot.
Room very neat and compact.
Liked that there were electrical sockets next to the bed. Toilet flushed wonderfully and also the cistern filled up again very quickly.
There were no rubbish bins in the bathroom or living area. The mattress and pillows were soft for my liking, but that's personal choice.

The room is clean and nice. There was toilet paper (previous reviews complained that there was none).
Stepney Yard is student accommodation, rented out as rooms during summer. This was not made clear on Booking.com. The accommodation emailed me after I had paid the non-refundable fee, informing me that the booking was not confirmed. I was instructed to scan and upload my passport/ID docs and take a selfie. This is uncomfortable in itself, but made worse because I did not get another email from the property afterwards with a confirmation of booking. I messaged several times over various days before contacting Booking.com, and only then did I get the confirmation from the property.
