New laneway house near Airport, World Cup stadium, Downtown, UBC

The unit was extremely clean and tidy upon arrival. The hosts had left out some snacks and stocked the fridge with cold drinks (beer/pop/water) which was all very welcome after a long drive. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were nicely furnished with a small desk/chair as well as an armchair making them very convenient. The bedside table having charging ports in it was really appreciated as well. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements and dishes, as well as some very welcome coffee pods, tea and hot chocolate. The location was great, in a quiet neighbourhood but close to dining, UBC, and a short drive to Stanley Park/downtown or the airport.

The only issue with our stay was with accessing the unit upon arrival. The instructions indicated to park in the laneway for unloading, so that implied being able to access the unit from the laneway, but the gate was locked with no way to get in. So we had to drive around to the front and go through the side gate and through the back yard of the house to get to the laneway house. Then the door code didn't work, but the lockbox was easily located to get the unit key out of it. Only after our arrival did the host send a message explaining that the door code only worked if you pull the door towards you while trying to unlock or lock it.
