Tait House by Bower Boutique Hotels

Beautiful historic Victorian home. It is well kept and easy to find from the highway. We arrived late evening and front desk staff was there to check us in. We had a restful night in the comfortable four poster bed. It was quiet and was like being at home. There was complimentary water and coffee which was nice surprise. The restaurant is excellent. We only had breakfast but would definitely like to come back one day and experience the dinner menu.

We were under the impression that there was no front desk staff in the evening and had a hard time getting confirmation of pre-registration online BUT that is an issue with BOOKING.com not Tait House.

The rooms were very comfortable. The staff were helpful. We had dinner in their restaurant - the meal and the restaurant staff were exceptional

All was good

Good location

Self check in with emails and phaff. Especially as international roaming requirements to pick up their messages. Very disappointing that I booked on booking.com and was supposed to review an 8% travel credit in my wallet - this still hasn’t appeared nearly a month later. Booking.com need to start doing what they promise.

Loved the decor the warmth the detail to keeping the history intact

The online booking and no front desk person for help
