A spacious and beautiful house with a huge garden. We stayed here with our family while visiting Whipsnade Zoo, and the location was perfect, just a short drive away. The house had everything we needed and made our stay very comfortable. We’d like to thank the host for their kindness and hospitality. We would happily stay here again.

Good value for money. Very spacious (4 adults easily accommodated). Clean Comfortable beds. Large wardrobes Great shower and bathroom facilities. Everything catered for. Plenty of free toiletries and cleaning essentials. WiFi good, easy connection. Air conditioning mobile unit a bonus and made a difference in current heatwave. Quiet area, easy access from M1.

Accommodation suited our needs as a place to sleep and eat breakfast for 2 nights but if we were a large group/family to spend more time then the following needs attention - Some areas are in need of general maintenance. Bare plaster showing where dining chairs have rubbed walls. Main oven wouldn't heat up. Dishwasher needs a good clean. Can sleep 8 but not enough crockery and cutlery for 4. (Only 3 dinner plates, 4 dinner forks 3 knives. Plenty of small side plates mugs and glasses though) Side door in kitchen to outside appeared permanently locked. Maybe should make customers aware in the event of fire escape needs. Main bathroom door wouldn't stay shut. Latch jammed and lock doesn't work. Door swings open if windows open elsewhere. Not great if sat on the toilet 🤦‍♂️

The house absolutely stank of cigarettes all through, as this is a non-smoking property this was totally unacceptable. It should never have been allowed to be used until the stench had been eradicated. Some aspects of the property could have been cleaner, cooker hood very greasy and shower had limescale and marks, I don't expect this when it's professionally cleaned after each stay. I will never use footwear worn by another, let alone a stranger I've never met! To expect people to do this is highly unusual. I was told this was the reason there were used flip flops in the shower, they wanted guests to use footwear worn be previous guests. It was an unusual situation, in that the property had been booked for Operatives working a night shift, who should have been free to check in at the end of the shift rather than the property providers strict timings. The code for access was on an 8 hour limit starting at 1500hrs, our Operatives were potentially only checking in, in the early hours, however, they had to go to the house to use the code so that it didn't expire. Probably not a problem most people have, but it was an issue for our Operatives.
