Gladwyns Farm Lodge

Loved the peaceful location. Owners were helpful and responsive but not intrusive. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever seen and it included a a bottle of bubbly that was the start to a wonderful family get together. Definitely recommend Galdwyns Farm Lodge

Everything was as good as hoped - even better!

We had a lovely weekend at Gladwyns Farm Lodge. I went with 2 friends and 3 teenage girls. We wanted a quiet weekend to relax and spend time together and Gladwyns Lodge was perfect for this. It is comfortable, well equipped, very clean and in the most beautiful, tranquil, countryside setting. The hosts made contact prior to our stay and, at our request, ensured the hot tub was heated and ready for use on our arrival. Details of how to find the property were sent prior to arrival and were all clear and there were no issues with getting keys and access to the property. Despite being situated next to the owners own house, it still felt very private and not like we were intruding on their personal space. The owners were easy to contact if we needed them and were very accommodating when I needed to charge my electric car but similarly left us to our own devices when we didn’t need them. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax and re-charge.

I can’t find any fault with Gladwyns Farm Lodge but just a side note, it is in a remote setting surrounded by beautiful countryside. Walking from the property, there are no pavements so you need to walk on the roadside which might not be ideal with small children or with a buggy or pram. The roads are very quiet and this didn’t affect us but I thought might be worth mentioning to those that it might.

Before we d even arrived Karen was in touch to see if we d like the hot tub lit so it would be ready for us. They lit it for us the next day while we went for a walk which was very kind of them.There was a lovely welcome hamper , with locally produced apple juice , prossecco ,honey ,jams etc.Perfect hosts.

There was to dislike.

The lodge was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped - they had truly thought of everything. The hot tub was a fantastic addition, and its peaceful location offered lovely walks into the local town.
