Appartement indépendant rez-de-chaussée

L'appartement correspond bien à la description. Bien placé (sur le haut de Saint Pierre qui est une petite ville très charmante - pas de difficulté pour un marcheur moyen de se rendre dans le centre ville - un vélo peut être pratique mais forcément électrique vu les pentes qu'on trouve à Saint Pierre et sur l'île) Très calme. Très bien chauffé. Spacieux. Bien équipé à l’exception de l'absence d'une machine à laver la vaisselle. Bonne literie. La décoration authentique peut sembler un peu vieillotte mais elle a du charme. A l'entrée, un sas bien (comme on en rencontre beaucoup dans les maisons au Canada) utile en cas de mauvais temps. Les propriétaires vivent au dessus du logement mais sont très très discrets (cela pose aucun soucis).

The owner was available and gave his time to pick us up from the ferry and deliver us back when the time came to leave. He was very attentive to our needs.

No cooling system. It was 🔥 and humid

Our host was very considerate, there were some food and even wine when we arrived, which was very much appreciated. He even offered to pick us up from the ferry and drive us, and did the same when we were leaving. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was on the main floor of a house with the owners in a separate apartment above, but we didn’t hear any noise. It is located away from the centre a little bit, but was convenient for us to get food from the supermarket and do some walking. It’s not far from the centre, we went to restaurants and did some shopping with no problem. Usually we stay at a hotel when visiting Saint Pierre but it was nice to have so much space and be able to do some of our own meals.

The location is on a hill, which was fine for us, but some people might find it a bit more difficult if they are walking. You can get taxis if you don’t have a car.

Loved how big and spacious this home was, the art and travel souvenirs were beautiful, and Robert’s hospitality was superb. He picked us up from the ferry, showed us where the nearby stores were and even provided us with croissants and a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this place and cannot say enough good things about Robert.
