Bailiffs Cottage

The village is very pretty and quiet, and the area is absolutely beautiful with lots of nice walks and interesting things to see, especially if you like history. The cottage was charming, with a log burner, very stylish kitchen and a pretty garden, and has been recently renovated. The two bedrooms are equally nice. There are a couple of pubs in the village and also an excellent Budgens which seems to have everything you could want, so there's no need to drive to a supermarket, which was a big plus. All the practicalities were really straightforward and the hosts were great. Would definitely book again.

Absolutely Stunning Cottage with a really Beautiful old fireplace and a Woodburner. We lit it every night and sat with a glass of wine!! .We didn't want to move as it was so Lovely & Cozy. We stayed in-between Xmas & New Year and had a lovely relaxing break. The Cottage has all the amenities that you need and is very well equipped. The Owners were very thoughtful putting a lovely real Xmas tree up and a few other Xmas decorations making it really Christmassy. Had also left us a bottle of wine in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Dogs are also allowed in the Cottage which is great as we always take our dog everywhere with us. Also again the owners very thoughtful leaving dog bowls & towels. The cottage is also in the very pretty village of castle acre. We walked around the castle ruins with our dog. So much History. The Cottage is also a great base for the surrounding area as nothing is very far away. We had a really Wonderful time and would recommend the Bailiffs Cottage to anyone. Great cottage, amazing hosts in the most charming village. It is restored absolutely beautifully with love and attention to details and respect for history of it, and you can feel it. Fireplace was astounding and all the facilities very modern. If you get a chance, book this cottage - you won't be disappointed! Will go again if ever get a chance. Highly recommended!

Can't think of anything that could be improved. If I'm really nitpicking it would be useful for the small front gate to have a kind of "stopper" on one side so it would be easier to close the lever :D but that's really minor, and it's possible that some prefer it this way when you could swing the gate either way.
