The village is very pretty and quiet, and the area is absolutely beautiful with lots of nice walks and interesting things to see, especially if you like history. The cottage was charming, with a log burner, very stylish kitchen and a pretty garden, and has been recently renovated. The two bedrooms are equally nice.
There are a couple of pubs in the village and also an excellent Budgens which seems to have everything you could want, so there's no need to drive to a supermarket, which was a big plus. All the practicalities were really straightforward and the hosts were great. Would definitely book again.
