Escape to an idyllic stone cottage nestled within the tranquil Nannau Estate, just a stone's throw away from the breath-taking Coed Y Brenin Mountain Forest Park. This charming retreat offers a perfect haven for families or friends seeking a peaceful getaway amidst nature's embraces.
You'll be enveloped by the serene beauty of the surrounding woodland as you park your car and stroll past the babbling stream. The property, believed to be the former stables of the neighbouring Old Chapel, hosts three bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to four guests.
Inside, discover a harmonious blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and diner welcome you with exposed beams and thoughtful touches throughout. Whip up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and gather around the dining table for a leisurely meal or unwind by the wood burner. The ground floor boasts a lovely king-size bedroom with an en suite shower room, where French doors lead out to the enclosed garden. Upstairs, two single bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind for a restful night's sleep.
Outside, there is plenty of space to relax and embrace the views. Enjoy al fresco dining on the patio area with a table, chairs, and BBQ, sit by the stream, or help yourself to seasonal produce from the garden. The enclosed garden is mostly laid to lawn, surrounded by the open garden and woodland, offering a great spot to watch the stars. If you are bringing your bikes, there is room in the garden shed to store them. Additionally, off-road parking is available at the property for two cars.
Close to Coed Y Brenin Mountain forest park, the valleys of rivers Mawddach, Eden, Gain, and Wen, and the National Trust site in Ganllwyd, the area offers the finest mountain biking in the UK, with waymarked trails for both cycling and walking, past rivers, gorges, and waterfalls. Visitors can also enjoy fishing at Trawfynnedd, while adrenaline seekers can head to Go Ape High Wires, Zip World Slate Caverns, and the National White-Water Rafting Centre, all close by. The cottage is in a stunning area with so many fantastic walks and options for things to do. It's such a peaceful place with only bird sounds around. We immediately felt at home in the cottage itself, which is beautifully decorated and one of the best equipped places we've stayed at. The owners really have thought of everything! The garden was also adored by our dog. It's fully secure and leads straight out from the living room and bedroom. Would love to stay here again!

Amazing surroundings, very beautiful place. Great start points of many adventures. We felt very welcome and had a great stay.
Could use a thorough cleaning. Dust and dirt in the corners. Vacuum not usable, full of hair and smell of dogs. Probably most suitable for people with own dog who don't mind the dog smell in the house.

lovely stay and felt like a home away from home. location is great and really peaceful. recommend this stay for anyone. We brought our dog with us who also settled quickly.
