Commons Beach is Tahoe City's four acre public park on the lake, popular for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking. Group picnic sites and children's playgrounds are located within a large lakefront grass and sand area. Bike and watercraft rentals are available within walking distance of the beach.
During the ski season, you are just 15 minutes from Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

A stone away from Tahoe City center yet tucked away! Great backyard for our toddler and dog to run around! Also a few mins walk from Common Beach with nice beach and playground! The place is well stocked for cooking wares and has great indoor outdoor spaces. We enjoyed our stay and Tahoe city is also a great option for families with kids!

This is an amazing location! Walkable to the lake, shops and restaurants. Also very close to Palisades! There's a hot tub, fun games, a fenced in backyard and balcony. That wall all great! The comforters were a little scratchy and the space heater in the master went from cold to too hot all night. Also a couple little maintenance issues. It was a great stay overall! You can't beat Tahoe City!

The location was within easy walking distance to a handful of shops and eateries in Tahoe City which we loved. However, we were surprised by the lack of attention to detail. There was a razor and used bars of soap left in both showers. The laundry detergent was empty and towels were left in the dryer. One fan (out of two) was broken and there were multiple lamps and devices either not working or not plugged in. There was also dog waste left in the backyard. The place has the potential to be quite nice, but we hope it will be much better prepared for the next party.
