Black Bear Lodge is situated on a paved road offering easy access and total privacy. Our home is located inside the gates of Bear Paw Resort and close proximity to Mountian View Marina, which also offers a pool, tennis courts, playground and clubhouse.
Our hidden gem consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, but can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. This makes it an ideal haven for families, groups, or a relaxing get away with friends.
Once inside, discover the vaulted ceilings and spacious living area with large stone fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings after a day of exploring the wonders of the area or boating on beautiful lake Hiawassee. The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances and a large island to congregate and prepare meals.
The main floor bedrooms offer vaulted ceilings, comfortable beds and private baths. As you make your way downstairs to the large finished basement, you will find a huge great room perfect for family game nights or just snuggling down for a family movie night. The space also includes both queen and twin size beds. It also provides a separate bedroom, equipped with a king size bed and private bathroom.
Our mountian retreat offers a variety of activities year round. In the summer hike to beautiful waterfalls, enjoy kayaking, go white water rafting down the Ocoee and Nantahala Rivers, or simply rent a boat and explore beautiful Lake Hiawassee. Fall is one of the most popular times to visit and experience stunning fall foliage, and nearby fall festivals, or roast s’mores in the cool fall evening over an open fire.
