A House With a Panoramic View of The Bay

Always perfect Sam is the perfect host!

Three of us enjoyed two nights here. We have stayed at Bodega Bay many times. This house has fine view of the harbor and the bay, and sitting on the deck facing them was pleasant on our very sunny visit in March. It was quiet at night, and there were very few lights from other homes. The main bedroom has a great view and a very comfortable bed, while the second bedroom is upstairs with a small "annex" bedroom. They lack the fine view. We prepared simple meals in the kitchen and wished there had been a sauce pan with a lid to cook rice. Dinner down the hill at the restaurant on Lucas Wharf was good, and it was lovely at dusk. We recommend the walk across the marsh from the small parking area that is across from Harbour Blvd. It takes you to a quiet section of Doran Beach, and a walk there is always pleasant. Bodega Head will give you a heartier workout, as the wind is nearly always blowing while you search the horizon for whale blows. Bodega Bay is a favorite destination as we live in the Sacramento Valley.

It was nice had a great view but was very outdated and you had to keep everything very clean and put away due to ant problems. Fridge and freezer were full of food which was a little awkward feeling. The downstairs bed was a lot smaller than the frame which was not comfortable for the person on that side of the bed.
